Newly appointed Food & Beverage director, Christophe Delabarre, for JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha will be managing all the operations in the food and beverage section.
Delabarre, who graduated from the Hospitality School in France, started his career behind the stoves and had the chance to work with Michel Bruneau, 2 Michelin-star chef, as an apprentice before realising he wanted to pursue his career in the restaurant and gained his degree in Hotel Management.
He worked with Michelin star-awarded chefs like Pierre Gagnaire, Masonori Tomikawa and Richard van Oostenbrugge and was highly motivated by their artistic approaches in the food to create masterpieces and classy cuisines.
According to a press statement, Christophe Delabarre comes to JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha with his philosophy ‘Less is more, keep it authentic’ by defining the hotels’ collection of half a dozen restaurants and lounges, as well as supervising the in-room dining, banquets and special events. He is also very much into new trends and ideas and always believes in various cooking recipes with respect to traditions and craftsmanship.
Talking about his passion for food and its eventual satisfaction Delabarre says,
“I was always passionate about food and dining as it’s been in my family blood for three generations. Food is something that brings people together, families and friends together to celebrate; it’s the common thread of so many occasions,”
