Qatar, Kuwait Keen On Boosting Air Transport Ties

The Chairman of Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority HE Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al Subaie held a discussion with the President of Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al Salem Al Hamoud Al Sabah.

They spoke about ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the fields of civil aviation and air transport.

Al Subaie highlighted the strength of the social and economic relations between the two countries and the keenness to upgrade them. He expressed the hope that this visit to the State of Kuwait will achieve the desired objectives.

The Qatari official was also happy about Qatar’s participation in the inaugural Kuwait Aviation Show held recently.

Following the meeting, the Director General of Kuwait Civil Aviation Eng. Yousef Al Fouzan said the meeting discussed means of cooperation in the fields of air transport, safety systems and exchange of experiences between the two sides to hold joint technical sessions.

The meeting also had a discussion on the possibility of using the Fifth Freedom, which provides for transport exchange rights and the provision of facilities in a manner that achieves flexibility for air carriers between the two countries.
