The foreign ministry has concluded the e-linking process of 97 diplomatic and consular missions abroad. The electronic linkage project allows the Qatari diplomatic missions to use the ministry’s programs and internal electronic systems that are implemented in the ministry’s office effectively and safely without access to the internet.
It is a major achievement in the field of information technology in the ministry in terms of the speed and accuracy in handling processes between the ministry and its missions abroad.
The ministry also pointed out that the actual implementation of the project started in 2016 as part of its strategic plan to develop its work its work system and provide protection for its various programs and electronic systems. It is also the largest technological project in the history of the ministry.
To complement this achievement, the information systems department also launched websites for 97 Qatari diplomatic missions abroad.
The launch of the websites is part of ministry’s efforts to provide accurate and latest information about the state of Qatar and its diplomatic relations.
Advanced technology has been used to design the websites, which are centrally hosted at the ministry with the necessary protection systems and linked to the ministry’s main website and other related services.
The website showcases the ministry’s interest to facilitate access to the information and services it provides to the public and to pass on the updated information about the activities of the missions abroad.
The project included the launching of the websites of Qatar’s diplomatic missions in Algeria, Amman, Ankara, Astana, Asuncion, Athens, Baku, Bandar Seri Begawan, Bangkok, Beijing, Beirut, Belgrade, Berlin, Bern, Bishkek, Brasilia, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Cairo, Canberra, Caracas, Chisinau, Colombo, Dhaka, Djibouti, Dushanbe, Geneva, The Hague, Hanoi, Havana, Hong Kong, Houston, Islamabad, Istanbul, Jakarta, Karachi, Kathmandu, Khartoum.
