Qatar, Iran To Establish Joint Committee On Trade

HE the minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti met his Iranian counterpart Abbas Akhoundi in Tehran yesterday. The minister praised Iran’s role and support to Qatar since the beginning of the crisis.

The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transport, ports and aviation. The two parties agreed to set up a joint committee to facilitate trade exchange and air and maritime transport, therefore creating a joint foundation to serve mutual trade interests.

They also had talks about matters of common concern. The meeting was also attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Iran Ali bin Hamad al-Sulaiti.
