Emir Discusses Bilateral Ties With Turkmen President Via Telephone

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani had a telephonic conversation with the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and also priority issues.

Major regional and international issues were also discussed during the conversation, both the heads reiterated their commitment to dialogue to resolve the crisis with the framework of international organisations and structures.

Both noted that trade and economic relations as the vital factor in bilateral relations and focused on the potential for enhancing it.

Berdimuhamedov has earlier made a visit to Qatar in March in which he invited Qatar to participate in the transnational Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
