Amanda Bynes was seen for the first time in three months on Friday.
The 31-year-old former child star, who lit up teen films such as She’s The Man and What A Girl Wants, was seen with a female friend who was most likely her life coach Joy Stevens.
The two were seen leaving the Ralphs grocery store in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Byne wore her long golden locks down and in soft mermaid waves.
The Easy A star seemed to have no makeup on and was wearing clear framed glasses that may or may not have been prescription.
The Los Angeles native had worn a huge beige cardigan over a white T-shirt and black slacks with black boots that had silver buckles.
The star, who is reportedly worth $6m, had a Chanel crossbody purse in black on.
Her minder was casual in a white shirt, green slacks and black sandals with a silver Tiffany & Co necklace on.
The two were last seen side by side in June.
Bynes, who has combatted drug issues and was hospitalized under a psychiatric hold in 2014 after a DUI arrest in 2013, says she has now been sober for three years.
After announcing on Twitter that she had retired from acting, she says she is now ready to return to Hollywood and put her driving violations, controversial tweets and heath battles behind her.
‘I want to do TV,’ she said in an interview with Hollyscoop earlier this year. ‘Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.’
The interview was her first in four years, she had only communicated with fans through a series of alarming tweets.
One of her most infamous musings included a 2013 tweet in which she wrote: ‘I want @drake to murder my vagina’.
Bynes explained: ‘I actually wasn’t being insincere. I was like saying murder my vagina. I was serious, but I was also on drugs, so that was my way of saying like, “Let’s do it man.” But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious.’
She added: ‘He’s hot! What does that even mean? It just means, like, “F**k me, Drake!”‘
Recalling her bizarre court appearances in which she would don colorful wigs and big sunglasses, Amanda noted that she was copying Blac Chyna’s look at the time.
‘I stole her look,’ she said. ‘I was getting the microdermals in my cheeks because she had them. I thought they looked super hot on her. … I’m a fan of hers. She’s adorable. She’s a cutie pie.’
In August And TooFab talked to Nikki Blonsky about how she has stayed in touch with the cast which includes John Travolta, Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The 28-year-old New York native also said she still talks to Hairspray vet Amanda Bynes, who had trouble with the law in the past but has seemed to turn a corner. ‘She’s doing well. She’s getting ready to start acting,’ said the brunette.
‘She was one of my favorite actors growing up, and I just can’t wait to see her on the screen again,’ she added.
Blonsky added: ‘Yeah, she’s so cool. She’s such a great friend. Another beautiful relationship I got from the movie.’
The star also said Bynes was ‘so much like Penny that sometimes I couldn’t tell the difference. They’re both fun and quirky and really lively, and sometimes I’d just be like, “Oh, is that one of your lines?”‘
Bynes rose to fame as a child star in the late 1990s and early 2000s on the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show.
From 2002 to 2006, she starred in the sitcom What I Like About You on The WB. She has also starred in several films, including What a Girl Wants (2003), She’s the Man (2006), Hairspray (2007), Sydney White (2007), and Easy A (2010). .
