Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will be meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his first foreign trip since the crisis.
Sheikh Tamim will hold talks on “bilateral ties and regional issues as well as international developments”, Turkey’s presidential office said in a statement.
Erdogan has been a major source of support during the crisis and even came to Qatar’s rescue by supplying essentials to the country. He criticized the Arab states for the sanctions against Qatar.
In a show of solidarity, Turkey has also sent cargo ships and hundreds of planes loaded with food to break the blockade.
Emir will be heading to Berlin after his visit to Turkey, in Germany he will be having talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
