A three-day ‘Piyestahan Sa Doha’ event will be held at the Sapphire Plaza Hotel in Rayyan/Bin Mahmoud area from tomorrow. The event will start at 10am and end at 10pm until September 3, Filipino expatriates will be able to capture the Piyestahan or festival mood back home.
Events include “Kolorete” – a hair and make-up competition wherein Hair and Make-Up Artists (HMUA) are being highlighted instead of usually being behind the scene and fun fare.
“Family-Han”, a game show that will bring different community organizations together, ‘Hip-Hop Dance Battle” for the enthusiasts of the dance form.
And of course, Filipinos’ musical talent will be on display with the “Duet to Win it” segment. The search for “Munting Prinsipe at Munting Prinsesa” (Little Prince and Little Princess) is also on during the event. Children between 4 and 8 will showcase their talent for the title.
Entry to the events will be free and even non-Filipino friends can attend the events to witness the culture and tradition of Filipinos in Qatar.
