Emergency Services Of HMC To Operate As Usual During Eid

HMC’s (Hamad Medical Corporation) emergency services will remain open 24 hours a day during Eid Al Adha holidays, while most OPD (Outpatient Department) clinics will be shut down from August 31 to September 4.

HMC said that walk-in OPD clinics at Hamad General Hospital will be open on August 30 for medical, surgical, and paediatric services. The main OPD pharmacy will be open from 7am to 12pm on September 5. The cashier and Health Card Desk will also reopen at 7am on September 5.

Here’s how the specific services will operate:

Hamad General Hospital

Walk-in OPD clinics will be open on 30 August for medical, surgical, and pediatric services. The main OPD pharmacy will be open from 7am to 12pm on 5 September. The cashier and Health Card Desk will also re-open at 7am on 5 September.

Women’s Hospital

High Risk, Feto-Maternal Unit and Newborn Screening Clinics scheduled for 3 to 11 September will operate as usual, while the OPD pharmacy will be open from 7am to 3pm on 31 August and from 3 to 7 September.

Al Wakra Hospital

The OPD will be closed from August 31 to September 4. From 5 to 7 September the following clinics will operate as per their usual timings: General Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma and Fracture, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Physiotherapy and Urology. The OPD pharmacy will be open during these hours. There will be no evening clinics during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Communicable Disease Center

All the OPD clinics will be shut down from August 31 to September 4, scheduled morning and evening clinics will operate from 3 to 7 September as per booked appointments.

Qatar Rehabilitation Institute

While the OPD clinics will remain close from August 31 to September 4, clinics will operate 5 to 7 September as per scheduled appointments. The pharmacy will be open 7am to 3pm on these days.

Ambulatory Care Center

All the OPD clinics will be closed during the Eid Al Adha holidays and will re-open on Sunday, the 10th of September.

The Cuban Hospital

The OPD clinics will be closed from August 31 to September 4.  From 5 to 7 September, scheduled clinics will operate and patients will be notified regarding their appointment. Pharmacy services will be available from the Emergency Department.

Heart Hospital

Morning clinics will be open from 5 to 7 September, while the OPD clinics will be shut down from August 31 to September 4. The OPD Pharmacy will be open 31 August to 9 September for discharge prescriptions only.

Al Khor Hospital

All OPD clinics will be closed 31 August to 4 September. Gynecology, dental, and evening clinics will operate as scheduled 5 to 7 September. The PEC Pharmacy will be open from 7am to 11pm from 5 to 7 September and the main pharmacy will be open 7am to 3pm. Patients requiring medication refills should visit the ED Pharmacy.

Rumailah Hospial

While the OPD clinics will be closed from August 31 to September 4, the Child Development Centre and Maxillofacial will be closed from August 31 to September 7. The Plastic Surgery service will operate walk-in clinics from 8am to 1pm on 31 August and from 3 to 5 September. The Dermatology Clinic will be open for walk-in patients 8am to 1pm on 5 to 7 September and the Geriatric Clinic will open between 8am to 1pm on these days. The pharmacy will be open during OPD clinic hours.

Hamad Dental Care

All OPD clinics will be closed 31 August to 4 September. Morning clinics will operate between 8am and 1pm from 5 to 7 September.

National Center for Cancer Care and Research

Radiotherapy services will operate as normal. Hematology and Oncology Clinics will be open during the morning hours from 3 to 7 September. The Day Care Unit will be closed on 3 September. The pharmacy will be open 7am to 3pm from 3 to 7 September, inclusive.

Mental Health Services

The Mental Health Service will be closed 31 August to 4 September. Patients who require urgent assistance should go directly to the Hamad General Hospital Emergency Department.

The Adult Outreach and Older Adult Outreach will remain closed only on the first day of Eid.

The Hamad Customer Service Center (Nesma’ak) will be closed from 31 August to 2 September and will reopen on 3 September from 8am to 4pm. Patients requiring information can call 16060 during these times.

Nesma’ak will be resume regular services from September 10.
