According to the weather forecast, rare thundershowers and a possible sandstorm are expected in Qatar this week.
Expect scattered clouds with a chance of rain through Thursday, the MET said. The visibility might also be decreased due to strong blowing winds.

In a statement, the MET attributed the weather to north and southeasterly winds that are saturated with water vapor.
For Qatar, the end of summer is a transitional period and some wacky weather sometimes occurs.
However, the relieving thing is that August is usually the most humid month of the year in Qatar, and since the month is approaching to its end, the heat and moisture should start abating soon.
