A 15-year-old girl from Marriosn, Illinois, has shocked many after she gunned down her dear mother and attempted to burn down their house to destroy evidence.
The police said that the teenager, Anna Schroeder armed herself with a .38 revolver and waited for her 53-year-old mother Peggy to get back to her home in Morrison, Illinois.
When her mother got back home she told her to put a towel over her face before shooting her in the head in their living room, according to a police officer’s testimony.
Anna wrote a chilling Facebook post before she was Before she was formally charged with the killing. In the post she mentioned that she loved her and asked for forgiveness for ‘not always being the best daughter’.

She has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, concealment of homicidal death and arson. But, her friend Rachel has not been formally charged.
She will appear in juvenile court because she is a minor despite the severity of the charge.
If she found guilty she could be jailed until she is 21.
It is still unclear why Anna killed her own mother.
Sauk Valley News reported that after killing her mother she texted her friend Rachel Helm, also 15, to confess about the crime.

Then her friends mother is said to have given her a lift from Rock Falls to Anna’s house, where both girls tried to clean the blood out of the carpet.

Police say the girls initially put the body under a sheet and bought cleaning supplies to mop up the blood, but then decided to burn the house down
They then moved Peggy’s body from the living room to the bedroom and covered her with a sheet before going out to buy more cleaning supplies, the very next day.
The police reported that both the girls ultimately decided to burn the house down on Saturday.
Firefighters found Peggy’s body inside the charred remains of the house after putting out the flames, KWQC reported.
Her friend, Rachel confessed everything infront of her mother, who she took her to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department for questioning.
At the same time, Anna posted a chilling message on her deceased mother’s Facebook page telling her she loved her and would ‘never forget her’.
She said in the post: ‘I don’t even know if you can see me right now but if you can I just want you to know you were my best friend.

When Rachel confessed about the crime, Anna was brought to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department where she broke down and admitted to the killing, a police officer said.
Both girls were taken into custody at Mary Davis Detention Home in Galesburg.
They are scheduled to appear in court August 8.
