According to Tayoto, she saw a job posted on a website and contacted the number to inquire about their requirements. She got a response from a person who introduced himself as the owner of the company.

One of the requirement is that the applicant should become his girlfriend, says Tayoto.

People, beware of this kind of modus, especially those who are searching for a job abroad. Like what the conversation posted by a Filipino OFW in Dubai who’s applying for a job. Read the below conversation.

How can you avoid this kind of modus when you are searching for a job?

Well, the most important thing to keep in mind is that you have to check first if the company is legit and if it’s operating legally. Ask the name of the company, the name of the person that you are speaking to, the exact address, the land line phone number. From that basic information, you can search the web or Facebook for the company name and see if the number that was provided to you is correct. You should also call the number and ask them about the job post that you saw.
