The Star project of United Development Company (UDC), The Pearl Qatar is scheduled to host numerous entertainment activities to mark the celebrations of Eid al Fitr. The Pearl-Qatar that happens to be one of the most well-known urban landmark in Qatar will host the activities from tomorrow up to Friday.
Being an iconic symbol of Qatar, the Pearl-Qatar is able to offer visitors, both local and foreign, the chance to embark on unique shopping, dining and leisurely experience all at one place, making the island one of the driving forces of the tourism sector in Qatar.
In addition to the entertainment undertakings, an Eid shopping bazaar ‘Al Maqtoora’ would also be arranged such that families can also get the opportunity to buy a thing or two.
The activities will commence at 4pm and conclude at 9pm each day, the events will be hosted at Medina Centrale’s indoor arena Souq Al Medina. The organisers expect the performing acts to entertain both young and older audiences.
Game booths, face painting, balloon twisting etc. are some of the attractions that would catch the attention of children.
By organising the Al Maqtoora market UDC is affording the local entrepreneurs a chance to promote their businesses at the best possible time of the year and in the best possible macro setting. Al Maqtoora is also supported by Bedaya Centre which encourages start-ups in Qatar. Stalls would exhibit food, perfumes, jewellery, fashion accessories etc. at Al Maqtoora.
The organisers are optimistic that the scheduled would be as successful as previous such events hosted by the Pearl-Qatar have been. In doing so the organisers hope to contribute to the community in their own while representing the country’s heritage and culture.
