10 Foods To Include In Your Everyday Diet To Prevent Cancer


With the increasing rates of cancer on a global level, you are probably afraid of this deadly disease like millions of other people.

But one thing you can do to help prevent it, is regulating your diet.  As many experts and scientists explain, minding your diet is one of the most effective strategies for preventing cancer. The American Cancer Society, for instance, suggest to have at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies on a daily basis. This helps ward off obesity which is a risk factor for cancer, and also supplies your body with cancer-fighting molecules called antioxidants.

Here are some of the foods that you should serve on the table very often if you want to stay as far away as possible from any form of cancer.

  1. Garlic

According to many studies, people who eat more garlic have less chances of developing cancer as oppose to those who don’t eat this food. It has been shown that garlic is particularly helpful in prevention of stomach, esophagus, and colon cancer.


  1. Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain a potent antioxidant called lycopene, which according to experts is excellent at fighting cancer. Tomatoes are beneficial for all, but especially for men as the lycopene content has been shown to successfully ward off prostate cancer. You may be surprised, but you can use the lycopene benefits more by consuming processed tomatoes such as sauces.

  1. Berries

Blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and the other berries are rich in potent antioxidant which prevent development of cancer cells, and their multiplying. Therefore, add as much berries as you can in your everyday diet.

  1. Cruciferous Vegetables

Cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and broccoli are all cruciferous vegetables. These vegetables contain compounds which can prevent cancer cells formation, and encourage their death.

  1. Green Tea

You might love green tea already, but you will love it even more once you find out that it’s one of the best cancer-fighting foods. It includes catechins – antioxidants which protect healthy cells from free radical damage. Free radicals are molecules which can cause development of cancer. Catechins are also included in black tea.
