For the convenience of people the hospitals affiliated with the Hamad Medical Corporation will continue to operate as per normal schedules, 24 x 7, during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
Outpatient Department clinics, however, will remain closed from July 5 to July 10.
The OPD clinics at Hamad General Hospital and the Women’s Hospital will remain closed from Tuesday to Thursday. High risk clinical appointments have been scheduled for today and tomorrow, as usual from Sunday to July 12. However, keeping in view its importance the hospital pharmacies would remain throughout the holidays, 24 hours a day.
OPD clinics and the pharmacy at the Al Khor Hospital will close on Tuesday and reopen on Sunday. During the time of the holiday, all urgent cases and medication refill requests will be handled by the Emergency department. Additionally, the pharmacy of the Accident and Emergency department will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the holidays.
The Emergency Department incl. the Adult See and Treat Unit, Paediatric Emergency as well as pharmacies at the Al Wakra will remain functional throughout the break. OPD clinics, however, will close on Tuesday and reopen on Sunday. The OPD clinics at The Cuban Hospital will remain off from Tuesday until Sunday. The Emergency Department and the pharmacy would however remain open 24 X 7 throughout the holidays, to attend to urgent medical cases and the dispensation of urgent medical refills to the needy.
The clinics at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) will close for the holidays on Tuesday and reopen on Sunday. All the evening clinic appointments for the dates July 10-12 have been rescheduled in the morning. The Radiotherapy unit would remain functional as normal, but the Day Care Unit will remain closed on Tuesday and Thursday.
For patients in the need of emergency assistance and assessment the Urgent Care Unit will remain functional 24×7 throughout the holidays.
Likewise the OPD clinics at the Heart Hospital will close for the holidays on Tuesday and reopen on Sunday, however, with a restricted timetable. Patients seeking appointments have been advised to call on 16060. Some clinics would contact patients on an individual basis to confirm their appointments.
The OPD clinics at the Rumailah Hospital are scheduled to close today and reopen on Monday, July 11.
Similarly, the Mental Health Services clinics will close for the holidays on Tuesday and reopen on Sunday.
The Hamad Customer Service Centre (Nesma’ak) too will close on Tuesday and reopen on Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
