Scorching heat, Today Mercury will reach 45C and above

June is second month of summer, dry and very hot. Prevailing wind from the northwest with rate 30.6%. The gentle, moderate, fresh and strong speed represents with rates 7.6%, 12.1%, 5.5% and 1.9% respectively. Rest of the speed is light.

 

The highest temperature was recorded at 46C in Turayna, Abu Hamour and Batna.

As per the statement from Qatar metrological department, humidity is expected to increase in the coming days as a result of the change in wind direction to Easterlies locally known as kous. Easterlies are expected to be slight to moderate in speed causing a drop in maximum temperatures to the end of thirties.

Winds from northwest are fresh wind throughout the year. Occasionally fresh northwest wind creates sand storms and dust haze. It is the windiest month of the year and also with longest days of maximum solar radiation in the year. Today Northwesterly – Northeasterly will take place at  5 – 15/18 KT at places at times

 

Further today temperature is expected to be 45C in Doha and 44C Messaied.

Abu Samra and Al Ruwais will have temperature of 41C and 36C respectively.

Al Khor and Dukhan will have temperature around 45C and 40C respectively.

 

Expected to reach 45C above on Tuesday .
