Ramadan is known as the holy month of giving according to survey from Xpress Money 68 per cent of expatriates spend more on charitable acts during the month.
Xpress Money, one of the most dependable money transfer brands in the world shows in a GCC survey conducted on expatriate behaviour and spending that 74% want more time with family while 47% send more money back home during the month.
“Ramadan is a month of giving, of reflection and of time spent with family and friends. Our survey confirms that expatriates are inspired by the month’s values irrespective of faith or demographics. Family ranks high on the priority list while acts of charity considerably increase.” says Xpress Money’s Vice President of Global Marketing, Ashwin Gedam.
“We are seeing that Ramadan inspires social bonds, reflection and acts of charity across the board amongst expatriates, whether they observe Ramadan or not. Our survey results show that Ramadan inspires people to follow its spirit of generosity, charity, peace and togetherness,” he added.
